Last Chance
Look, I hate to do this.
I really do.
But if I don't get a few, okay, a lot more votes by midnight tonight...
...well, I might just give Brady here to Glenn Reynolds.
Now we wouldn't want that, would we?

Look! I've voted for you every single day. Don't throw the puppy in the blender.

Doing what I can! I'll take Brady. No blender for him!
Have you noticed that, in many cases, lefty blogs seem to be doing very well in the balloting? A little ballot stuffing, I bet.

OK I voted often and early, I almost feel like a Democrat.
Now turn off the Puppy Blender and let Brady go!

Turn off the blender. I've voted so much, I may need to put a 'd' behind my name.

CY, why do you even care about this crappy award? Do you get a million dollars if you win? No. Does it mean anything to anybody? No.
Spend your time on better pursuits.

A millon dollars? No, but fourth place gets a really cool Spork.
Or so I've been told...

Wasn't trying to rain on your parade. I hope you win. I just meant that most of us don't judge a blog by the awards it has won, but for the content.
I read you before the awards competition, will continue to read you when the dust settles. As long as the content is good, you will have readers.

That is the cutest puppy I have ever seen! Please don't give him to that evil man to blend up. I'll do ANYTHING YOU WANT. LOL Ok, Ok, those big, adorable eyes convinced me...the PUPPY'S eyes! Going to vote right now.

I've got two usable machines and I'm voting them both as hard as I can. They won't let me register as a dead voter or as a Warner Brothers employee (you know, Bugs and crew). What more can I do?
It's all those moonbats you've ticked off voting against you. What can I say?

I'm voting on 4 machines every day - best I can do for you. It's those damn dems - they are trying to steal the election!

We're voting as fast (and as often) as we can - and we've plugged you again on the Yak. Of course, considering we're fourth in our category our help is probably only slightly better than an endorsement from Howard "Victory-is-my-middle-name" Dean - but we do what we can.

I was kind of shooting for more people voting single times, not single people voting more times (even though some vote totals in this thing look like college computer labs were raided0.

Kos is leading with 4080 votes in the best blog category. That is just sad. Michelle Malkin is in second with 2427. I voted for Mudville Gazette today but I'm gonna have to vote for Michelle from now on.
Of course I also voted for Confederate Yankee.

Nice touch with the Cidy pic.
We're in Mexico and will be signing the documents tomorrow. Then I get to come home and start fighting the Maritime Administration again.
From highs to lows...
*sigh*

I Do Believe He's Got You Covered
Operation Enduring Service blogger and Beauchamp Tower CEO Ward Brewer is about to become the ultimate "gun blogger" on December 7, 2005 when he
takes possession of the last serving Fletcher-class destroyer from World War II.
The USS John Rodgers (DD-574) under sail in an undated photo.
Armed with 5 5 in (127 mm) guns, 10 40 mm AA guns, 7 20 mm AA guns, 10 21 in (533 mm) torpedo tubes, 6 depth charge projectors, and 2 depth charge tracks, the USS John Rodgers (DD-574) was a last serving Fletcher-class destroyer. The 5.5 inch gun could hurl a 54 lb. shell at a surface target over 10 miles away, and the John Rodgers fired 3,600 such rounds at targets on Guam alone during WWII.
The USS John Rodgers (DD-574) will become a floating WWII museum. Read more about the Rodgers' history at Wikipedia. Read more about Operation Enduring Service on its home page or blog.

Comrades,
Just a small grammar note: You shouldn't use "the" in front of the name. It's simply "USS John Rodgers" or "John Rodgers", etc. Most non-webfeet wouldn't catch that bit, but it's the correct useage when referring to ships by their names.
Respects,
Gwedd
