1 Here in America, something like new glass in a storefront window is such an everyday occurrence that it is largely taken for granted. Not so in Iraq, which has suffered decades of totalitarian rule under Saddam. We are bringing hope to these people, hope that they can put new glass in their store (and home) windows without fear that it will soon be broken. And that fact, for some odd reason, drives the lefties nuts.
