(The inauguration, imo, won't follow law in this case because Obama is not Constitutionally qualified, apart from perjury, to swear the oath of office to uphold the Constitution, etc.)

3 Liberals are seriously depraved. Friedman for all his vaunted intelligence, should take the next book writing period of his life, and read the Constitution. But, of course, to Friedman and liberals of his ilk, the Constitution is a "living document" at best, and an impediment to their plans at worst.

7 Actually, DIAF, there is nothing in the Constitution that prohibits Bush and/or Cheney from resigning. We've had both Presidents and Vice Presidents resign in the past, mostly during the Nixon years. However, there's no mechanism for installing Obama as President early... what would happen is Nancy Pelosi would take over as President, which would be at least as bad and quite possibly worse than The One.
