Obama Praised Terrorist Spokesman

That, of course, isn't news.

What is news is that the terrorist mouthpiece he supports, for once, isn't a domestic terrorist. Nope. this time, it's an alleged PLO spokesman:

The Los Angeles Times is refusing to release a videotape that it says shows Barack Obama praising a Chicago professor who was an alleged mouthpiece for the Palestine Liberation Organization while it was a designated terrorist group in the 1970s and '80s.

According an LA Times article written by Peter Wallsten in April, Obama was a "friend and frequent dinner companion" of Rashid Khalidi, who from 1976 to 1982 was reportedly a director of the official Palestinian press agency, WAFA, which was operating in exile from Beirut with the PLO.

In the article -- based on the videotape obtained by the Times -- Wallsten said Obama addressed an audience during a 2003 farewell dinner for Khalidi, who was Obama's colleague at the University of Chicago, before his departure for Columbia University in New York. Obama said his many talks with Khalidi and his wife Mona stood as "consistent reminders to me of my own blind spots and my own biases."

Khalidi, of course, has ties to—you guessed it—Bill Ayers, as well as Obama.

Some are arguing that the LA. Times is covering for Obama in a partisan manner by refusing to release the tape.

Who does this surprise?

3 Fang, Red... I hereby declare that McCain was wrong to associate, even in the slimmest detail, with Rashid Khalidi. Now, will you say that Obama was similarly wrong? I kinda doubt it, since the First Commandment of the Obamabots is "The One Can Do No Wrong." And while you're thinking about that, was it wrong of Obama to spend 20 years in a church where the pastor was screaming "God d**n America," to launch his political career at the home of a man who not only bombed the Pentagon but later said he wished he'd done more, to associate himself with a Chicago slumlord? I can't wait to see you condemn Obama for all those associations, since you seem so quick to condemn McCain for his. Let me remind you (since it's probably taken you a while to read down this far): I condemn McCain just as much for associating with Khalidi as I condemn Obama. Let's see you guys be that fair and balanced, for a start.

4 I note Red Phantom has trolled in another thread today, yet not replied to this one... therefore I think it's safe to assume that I was right in that he won't condemn Obama even for the same association he condemns McCain for, not to mention all Obama's other radical associations. Chalk up one for me.
