That Barack Obama Guy? He Hates Black People

Maybe John Lewis can call him out.

After all, if Lewis can call compare John McCain to George Wallace for things he didn't do, then Barack Obama is certainly a racist for his association with Bill Ayers, who considered black patrons of a nearby restaurant merely collateral damage for the 13th Precinct bombings in Detroit.

1 That was in NO WAY , what Lewis said. Did you even pay attention before trying to turn it around? Lewis said, that it is reminiscent of the state of mind that allowed Wallace to create such a hateful atmosphere without actually lifting a finger. Which is what McCain has done. McCain doesn't have to act racist towards Obama, or even be racist - when he incites racist rhetoric (much like .your post here). McCain has not denounced the racist sayings by speakers and listeners at his rallies. One lady called Obama a muslim, and McCain corrected her. one lady, what about "Kill Him" , "terrorist" , "n******" " sit down, boy!" , "HUSSEIN" McCain is breeding hatred and contempt for liberals and african americans alike. It may not be racist, but it is hatred - and reminiscent of Wallace's fostering of racial hatred in Alabama. And that is what Lewis was saying, quite obviously. Your tortured logic needs some work.

2 Why does everyone act as if it's unusual for John Lewis to compare present-day Republicans to racist Democrats of forty years ago? Look at a radio ad that Lewis (and Atlanta mayor Shirley Franklin and Andrew Young) made to support John Eaves when he was running for Fulton County (Georgia) Commission chairman back in 2006: "This is Congressman John Lewis." "And I'm Mayor Shirley Franklin" "And I'm Andy Young" Lewis: "On November 7th we face the most dangerous situation we ever have. If you think fighting off dogs and water hoses in the '60s was bad, imagine if we sit idly by and let the right-wing Republicans take control of the Fulton County Commission." Franklin: "The efforts of Martin and Coretta King, Hosea Williams, Maynard Jackson and many others will be lost. That's why we must stand up and we must turn out the vote for the Democrats on Election Day." Young: "And especially for John Eaves for Fulton County Commission chairman. Unless you want them to turn back the clock on equal rights and human rights and economic opportunity for all of us, vote for John Eaves as Fulton County chairman." Lewis: "Your very life may depend on it." Eaves: "This message paid for by the committee to elect John Eaves." It worked: Eaves won.

3 Kyle, you support your vicious accusations with nothing but lies. You should look into those events you mention. They are fictitious, every one. But if you are looking for racism in this election it isn't hard to find. It is in Barack Obama, decades long adherent to a cult that would have whitey stripped, skinned, fleeced and tossed. If you are white you must know that BARACK OBAMA HATES YOU. Ordinarily we might mitigate that by saying, "Hey, it's not his religion or anything." But of course it is.
